First Mesa Hopi pottery bowl with a parrot design. Hand-coiled, hand-painted and pit fired. Signed on the bottom "Sakhonsee" which is the known hallmark of Jean Sahmie, great-granddaughter of Nampeyo. Measures about 5.25" x 5.25" with a 3" opening at the top. In excellent used condition, no chips or cracks or restoration. Signs of wear commensurate with age. Includes certificate of appraisal ($800.00).
