First Mesa Hopi pottery ladle with a hand-carved kachina maiden handle. Measures abuot 9.75" x 3.7" diameter bowl. Hand-coiled, hand-painted and pit fired. Signed Sahmie on the bottom which can be the hallmark of anyone in the Sahmie family of potters and carvers. In excellent used condition, no chips or cracks or restoration. Signs of wear commensurate with age. Includes certificate of appraisal ($500.00).
