This Paiute basket was collected in the 1890s according to the granddaughter of the previous owner. Measures about 5.25" diameter x 2.125" tall. Coiled construction with 8 warps stitches and 5 wefts per inch. Made of single willow rod with willow weft and devils claw. In good condition with a few missing stitches and split wefts, no restoration. Certificate of appraisal included ($550.00).
